A new home was purchased 10 weeks ago client was putting up with missing free to air stations.a new antenna was installed with a new splitter.tv was tuned in perfect reception now.

Had a call from a customer to fix an outside aerial outlet so he could watch the afl dockers play at midday. so went up on the roof and noticed the antenna pole had dislodged from its supports,after fixing the existing antenna outlet the client was interested in a replacement of the antenna as it was around 25yrs old.

Looking at an existing antenna to see why there are missing free to air channels after previously tunning in your television may not find the reason why this case may be.The upgrade of the existing antenna was found to have a faulty bellum cover which had a small whole in and on further investigation we all so found rusting on the rg6 conector attached to the existing antenna cable.

Customer rang to say after an electrician had added a tv point to the existing antenna, they were unable to tune in all perths free to air channels so they purchased another television still didn’t fix the problem.  Testing with  a frequency meter had found that it was a faulty 3 way splitter .Electricians are licenced to install communication equipment but not necessarily experienced.
